About itzCorinne
What would you like to know? Here’s what I call the “verbal Mugshot” AKA: in a glance, everything you need to know:
- I have over 20 years marketing experience
- 15 of those count as B2B Technology Marketing years
The other years?
- I started my career on the Agency side… woah – now that’s a tough gig.
- I also did old school in-store and merchandising marketing – can’t say I envy those people either
Random Stuff
- Most challenging role: advertising telesales for Byte Magazine (now if that doesn’t date me). And yes, I hated every second of it.
- What I love about marketing: it evolves and transforms faster than fashion without the retro repeat
- What I hate about marketing: bad marketing and that everyone thinks they can do it better, that it’s easy.
- Little unknown fact: developers and techies are my favorite peeps. Coding is an art form – a channel to develop and create something new. I’ve never seen a painting change anyone’s life, but I’ve seen how good code can have significant impact….
- Biggest Irritation: I’m the most creative person I know but cannot express, translate, draw, whiteboard, etc most of the images or concepts that I have in my head (luckily – no voices). There’s evidence that it also irritates others
That really sucks. For me and for them.
I’m a proud Canadian
- Who moved from Vancouver to (gasp!) Toronto – and love it.
- I work in the technology industry - ECM now and have experience in BI, CPM, APM, BPM, Systems Management, Mobility, Gaming (MMORPG)
- I’m a perpetual student: BA, MBA, ECMm certification from AIIM, Certified Analyst Relations professional (by KCG), Media trained by Virgil Scudder and Associates, umpteen technology courses related to the software programs I’m representing at the time.
Other stuff
- I publish a monthly column on CMS Wire and have been published in other journals, magazines and papers.
- I enjoy speaking engagements
- I love making new contacts and connections.
- I love my little Angels, my adorable pets – Sugar Gliders.
- I’ve been studying Yoga therapy for 6 years – and no, that does not equate to ‘socks and sandals’ or ‘treehugger’ tendencies.
- Wonder why I get so many emails addressed to “Dear Connie”
